HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - For more than three decades, Viola Heneck watched over the streets of Hackettstown. And after Monday's ceremony naming Main Street and Center Street after, she always will.

The 99-year-old Heneck was on hand with members of the Hackettstown Town Council and the Hackettstown Police Department as they dedicated the intersection of Main Street and Center Street to her. It was there that Heneck crossed kids for 33 years.

Heneck started as a Hackettstown crossing guard in 1973 and retired in 2006.
