Drunk Man Run Over By Car In Hackettstown: Police
Police say the man told them it was his fault he'd fallen into the road, because he was drunk.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A drunk man was run over by a car after falling into the road in Hackettstown, police said.
The 36-year-old man from Mount Olive was walking along Route 517, just north of Route 6, around 3 a.m. on Saturday when he tripped on the sidewalk and fell into a roadway. He was run over by a Dodge Charger as he was laying in the street, police said.
Police say the man told them it was his fault for being in the road because he was drunk.

The man sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Neither the man nor the driver were issued summonses, police said.
