HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — After a long campaign season, Election Day 2019 is finally here in Hackettstown. There are a number of races on the ballot in Hackettstown this November, including the school board and town council.

Three candidates are running for three open three-year terms on the Hackettstown Board of Education: Michael Herbst, Mary Beth Maciag, and Michele Mehmeyer.

Four people are vying for two seats on the Town Council: Democrat Mark Gillian, and Janis Meichsner, and Republicans Gerald DiMaio Dr. and Matthew Engelau.

Residents will also vote on their two representatives in the New Jersey State Assembly. Republican John DiMaio and Erik Peterson e are being challenged by Democrats Denise King and Marisa Trofimov in the 23rd District.

The Senate seat is not up for re-election this year.

Where do I vote?

Your polling place is included on a sample ballot mailed out to all registered voters. If you're still not sure, or you misplaced that sample ballot, you can look up your polling location on the New Jersey Division of Election's website.

When can I vote?

Election Day 2019 is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
