Hackettstown Police Investigating Cigarette Robbery at Gas Station

HPD: Someone dressed in all black broke into a side door and stole an undetermined amount of cigarettes between midnight-1 a.m. Tuesday.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.– Hackettstown police said they are investigating a burglary that occurred early Tuesday morning.

Officers that responded to the Citgo station on Rt. 57 at approximately 4:44 a.m. saw glass broken out of a side door, according to Sgt. Darren Tynan.

An undetermined amount of cigarettes were stolen between midnight and 1 a.m., Tynan said.

The suspect was dressed in all black, he added.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Hackettstown Police Department at (908) 852-3302 or text TIP HACKPD followed by a message to 888-777.
