Hackettstown Rite-Aid To Offer Free COVID-19 Testing

NEW JERSEY — Rite Aid is boosting its efforts to help everyone in New Jersey and the across the country get tested for the coronavirus as the pandemic nears one year of existence.

In New Jersey, 38 additional Rite Aid Pharmacies began testing for the coronavirus on Friday, including the location in Hackettstown. New drive-thru testing sites will be set up at the following locations:

  • 151 ROUTE 94, BLAIRSTOWN;
  • 203 MOUNTAIN AVENUE, HACKETTSTOWN;
  • 354 STATE ROUTE 57 WEST, WASHINGTON;
  • 416 ROUTE 1, EDISON;
  • 416 ROUTE 9, BAYVILLE;
  • 895 WEST BAY AVENUE, BARNEGAT;
  • 220 MATHISTOWN ROAD, LITTLE EGG HARBOR;
  • 1041 BURNT TAVERN ROAD, BRICK;
  • 480 ROUTE 9 SOUTH, LITTLE EGG HARBOR;
  • 1 NORTH NEW PROSPECT ROAD, JACKSON;
  • 101 SOUTH MAIN STREET, FORKED RIVER;

Testing will be available for those 4 years and older at all new and existing drive-through testing sites. Previously, testing had been available to individuals 13 years of age and older.

The new locations will use simple self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

At all testing locations, patients are required to pre-register online to schedule a time slot for testing.

Those 4 to 18 years old can get tested with parent or legal guardian consent, and attendance and supervision of the minor at the testing appointment with a photo ID. For kids 4 to 12, a parent or legal guardian will create a Project Baseline account and follow the steps to indicate who the test is for.

For children ages 13-17, creation of a Project Baseline account should happen only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
