Dr. Fedich: I opened the clinic in March 2004. We started with very humble beginnings in the Panther Valley mall. The original office was only 700 square feet that I painted myself. The practice grew over the years, due to hard work and a great community. We expanded several years later into a 1,400 square-foot space. We outgrew that space in 2015 and moved across the street to the Allamuchy Corporate Center where we are now. We have now expanded again and occupy the first floor of the building at close to 5,000-square feet.

What started off as a solo chiropractor, myself, and a part-time staff has now grown to three full-time chiropractors, two physical therapists, an acupuncturist, nutritionists and a medical doctor. Being the only multi-disciplinary clinic in the area of this type, we are able to help patients with customized treatment plans and multiple providers helping at the same time.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Dr. Fedich: My story with chiropractic began when I was 13. I was a very athletic kid. I'm six-foot-five, so naturally I played a lot of basketball. On the way to a wedding in upstate New York, we were hit by a car that ran a stop sign. We all ended up in the hospital, and I ended up with severe back pain. In fact, I used to remember lying on the floor in tears. I couldn't play sports or do anything. So, my mother took me to the chiropractor, and in a few visits I was fixed up. Ever since then, I said I was going to be a chiropractor and help people the way I was helped. We went to the chiropractor every two weeks after that, and much to my parents surprise, I never changed my mind for my career.

I’m now able to help people not only with my own hands, but through the other providers in my clinic, I am able to help more people that I necessarily couldn't help. For example, our acupuncturist is certified in fertility and has helped many women get pregnant. Through our physical therapist team, we can help people rehab from surgery, get back to activities and do things they weren't able to do. It's really amazing!

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Dr. Fedich: It's very satisfying helping patients get back to doing what they love to do! Of course, we can't help everyone, which is difficult, but we have great referring partners in town that can help out when we can't.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

Dr. Fedich: In addition to comprehensive health care services in the clinic, we are certified in Medicare DME. This allows us to get back, knee, neck and other support to Medicare patients in need. In fact, with proper documentation that we provide, this support is usually covered entirely by Medicare. This certification is not easy to obtain and we are the only clinic of our type that has the license to do this.

In expanding our services, we have been certified for DOT/ CDL physicals for many years. In fact, I was one of the first doctors to take and pass the new test to be a certified medical examiner. In addition to doing many DOT/ CDL physical in the clinic, the clinic is certified in urine drug screening, breathalyzer testing for alcohol and, most recently, respirator fit training. We offer comprehensive workplace services and can even travel to a workplace.
