Latino Conservation Week Celebration Coming Up In Hackettstown

The public is invited to the free event with hands-on outdoor and nature activities all afternoon in Alumni Park on Saturday, July 25.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Fishing, a nature discovery walk, science activities, wildlife presentation, learning about insects of the Musconetcong River, how to garden with wildflowers, a park clean-up and other hands-on fun, will be part of the lineup at PEACE NJ’s Latino Conservation Week Celebration at Alumni Park on Willow Grove Street in Hackettstown.

Peace NJ’s event in Hackettstown scheduled on Saturday, July 25 from 12 to 4 p.m., will also include a bike safety presentation from Marty’s Reliable Cycle and a sustainable farming and healthy eating segment by the Foodshed Alliance.

Latino Conservation Week for 2021 takes place between July 17 and July 25, focusing on Latino roles in helping to improve the environment. Hackettstown’s event will foster ways to guard the region’s waterways, parks and green spaces.
