Police Log: Drug Possession In Hackettstown Wednesday Evening

Late last night at approximately 11:09 PM, Hackettstown Police stopped a car for a moving violation on Route 57. Approaching the driver, a 24-year-old from Staten Island, NY, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

The driver had in his possession 3 baggies containing suspected marijuana. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, driving while suspended and improper use of a cell phone and then was released pending a court appearance.
