Police Log: A Raucous Party And Underage Drinking Among Recent Complaints In Hackettstown
Hackettstown Police disperse a noisy party in a residential neighborhood late Thursday evening.

Youngsters blast the music and revel late into Thursday evening before Hackettstown Police step in:
Sept. 22
A 20-year-old Clermont man held a party in his rental home on Thursday, September 22, before Hackettstown Police were dispatched by noise complaints. Police responded to the home on West Moore Street due to reports of a loud party and heard music blasting and observed people yelling at the rear of the home. The 20-year-old Clermont man, one of the renters of the house, had been given warnings about such disturbances in the past. The Hackettstown Police dispersed the crowd and watched as upwards of 100 people scattered through the back of the house. The Clermont man was charged with disorderly conduct and then released pending a court appearance.

Sept. 23
At just about 12:30 AM, a Hackettstown officer was patrolling Grand Avenue when he spotted a young man with a can in his hand. The officer approached the individual, an 18-year-old from Manahawkin, and identified the can as a blue Natural Ice Beer can. The young man, drinking clearly while underage, was issued a ticket for underage drinking and released pending a court appearance.
