Pub Crawl Benefiting Clean Water Programs Coming Up

Proceeds for the Pub Crawl benefit the New Jersey Highlands Coalition to fund programs to protect clean water.

From NJ Highland Coalition: Flock to Hackettstown on April 21 from Noon – 8PM and bring your friends for the 2nd Annual Hopped Up Highlands Scavenger Hunt Hackettstown Pub Crawl, presented by the New Jersey Highlands Coalition, a 501 (c)(3) environmental nonprofit celebrating Earth Day and raising funds to protect clean water.Pub crawlers hit as many locations as feasibly (and responsibly) possible to inspire awareness of and appreciation for protecting a healthy NJ Highlands environment. NJ Highlands forests and open space act as a huge, natural and cost-free water filtration system that is largely the reason New Jersey has an ample water supply with the fourth lowest cost for drinking water in the nation.

“The water supplies provided by the Highlands Region are essential for nearly all of northern and central New Jersey, for much of our population and economy, and for our rivers and estuaries and the diverse habitats they support. We are excited by the chance to see people from all over the state head to Hackettstown and soak in the amazing craft spirit emanating from the great bars and breweries based there, because you can’t make great beer without great, clean water! Any threat to our water supply endangers our basic security and undermines our economic well-being,” said Julia Somers, New Jersey Highlands Coalition, Executive Director.

Attendees will receive a commemorative gift, great craft beer and food at discounted prices. They will be given the chance to win awesome scavenger hunt prizes, and sign our ‘Clean Water Pledge’ banner during the Pub-Crawl event to show they stand with us to protect our clean water.
Tickets cost $20 for the Early Bird Special available at https://2ndhackettstownpubcrawl.eventbrite.com, or $25 at registration on the day. Participants are directed to sign in and begin their crawling from Man Skirt, headquarters for the day and the official start of the Pub Crawl for all participants, any time of the day, whenever they join in.
