Tree Falls On Man In Stephens State Park
A man was found injured under a tree in Hackettstown's Stephens State Park late Wednesday evening.

A man was found injured under a tree in Stephens State Park by emergency workers, according to a story in The Daily Record. The 63-year-old, whose name has not yet been released, is thought to have been cutting a tree in the Park when it fell on him, the police told The Daily Record. The police told The Daily Record a chainsaw was found nearby.
The man was found late in the evening, at about 10 PM by Mount Olive police and Budd Lake emergency workers. The injured man was able to reach out to his family after the accident, members of which alerted the police. Mount Olive Police Chief Stephen Beecher told The Daily Record that the victim was conscious and had feeling in his torso, but was "pretty beaten up." The man was taken to the Morristown Medical Center.
