Corpus Christi School and its Early Learning Childhood Center are in the process of upgrading to a wireless network in the school buildings.
The school is working with BriCom, a company based in Saddle Brook, which will install the equipment bringing the school forward with more wireless connectivity keeping up with the culture and needs of today youth.
“This is an exciting time for Corpus Christi School," said Principal John Taormina. "Once the wireless project is finished, we can concentrate on getting more iPads and interactive whiteboards, and teachers could use laptops to teach lessons in conjunction with other technological tools.”
Throughout the building, staff, faculty, students, and parents will notice the access points as there will be more available wireless connectivity in the school.
The wireless network will help the school in ways that the current internet connectivity can’t. The current hardwired connections work but place too much of a load on them and slow down and crash.
It's considered a large leap forward as by keeping Corpus Christi competitive with surrounding schools, current and prospective parents and students can see that the school is keeping up with today's needs.
Taormina says it is hoped it will be all up and running by mid-October.
