County Executive To Discuss Meadowlands Casino At Business Expo

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco will discuss his economic development strategy for the county at the Bergen Business Expo at the Meadowlands Racetrack Wednesday.

Tedesco will talk about plans to build a $1 billion casino at the Meadowlands, something state officials have already supported with legislation. Hard Rock Entertainment unveiled its plan last month to build the casino there.

Republican Assembly Whip Scott Rumana (District 40) said he is “confident” that there will be consensus from the party’s caucus regarding the matter of placing a question on the November ballot regarding building a North Jersey casino.

Officials will discuss at the expo where real estate development is expected to increase in North Jersey and how small businesses can tap into resources to grow their businesses.
