You’ll be setting your clock back one hour, following the adage of “spring forward, fall back.” The “extra” hour gives you a chance to catch up on the sleep you lost in March when the clocks moved forward and Daylight Saving Time began.

The sun is currently setting just before 6 p.m. Next week, after Daylight Saving Time ends, it will set before 5 p.m. Sunset on Nov. 2 in Hasbrouck Heights is expected at 4:52 p.m.

The federal government doesn’t require states to adopt Daylight Saving Time but most of the United States observes it.
