Donations for the Hasbrouck Heights food pantry poured in to Bill O'Shea's Florist Thursday as 'good neighbors' dropped off items to help those in need.
Every year John Kosakowski, owner of Bill O'Shea's, and the crew collect non-perishable food and household items to help replenish the shelves at the borough's food pantry which is heavily relied on by those in need week after week.
In just two hours the shop had already taken in dozens of bags of donations. In return Bill O'Shea's gives out a free dozen roses asking that the recipient keep one and share the others with friends and neighbors.
Kosakowski is known for working to help feed those in need.
During the holiday season the flower shop hosts a food drive for the Center for Food Action in Englewood through its “Buy a Ribbon, Feed the Hungry” program.
