Hasbrouck Heights Defeats New Milford To Win State Sectional Football Title

BREAKING: The Aviators are North 1, Group 1 champions for the first time since 2007.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. — The Aviators defeated the Knights of New Milford High School 30-12 at MetLife Stadium Sunday to win their first state sectional championship since 2007.

Heights has made the playoffs for seven consecutive seasons.

It was the first time the teams played each other since 2009.

It is the 13th state championship for Heights. It would have been New Milford's fourth, had the Knights. Their last title came in 1986.
