This Thursday everyone has an opportunity to be a good neighbor.
Bill O'Shea's Florist once again recognizes "Good Neighbor Day" on Sept. 12 inviting members of the community to bring in food donations for the Hasbrouck Heights Food Pantry and in exchange will receive a dozen roses no purchase necessary.Â
All that is asked is that one rose is kept and the others are given away as a nice gesture to pay it forward and spread good neighborly cheer, says John Kosakowski, owner of Bill O'Shea's.
The shop will take donations of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products which will be given to the Heights food pantry which continuously needs its shelves replenished.Â
The shop will give away the free roses Thursday to those who drop off items until supplies last.Â
