Heights Fire Department Welcoming New Volunteers

Mayor and council meeting moved to Wednesday this week due to the special Senate primary election.

The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department will welcome new members on to the ranks this week. 

The department is expected to officially swear in four new members to the volunteer department during the Wednesday night mayor and council meeting. 

The department will welcome Kayed Hammad, Mark Kubler and Michael J. Leone as junior firefighters and Brandon A. Iribarne to Truck Company One. 

The meeting this week is being held on Wednesday as opposed to its normal meeting on Tuesday due to the special Senate primary election. 

The agenda for Tuesday also includes the appointment of two substitute crossing guards.

The governing body will also meet with the borough engineer during the work session to review status of projects such as the Woodland Park pavilion which is just about complete. 

The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14.
