Francisco Diaz of Hasbrouck Heights received a Surgical Processing Technician pin from Berkley College during a recent ceremony.Â
The Heights resident graduated the Surgical Processing Technician (SPT) program at Dover Business College, now Berkeley College, in Clifton.
Graduates of the SPT have successfully completed 400 hours of Surgical Processing Clinical Practicum and are eligible to sit for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) exam. The state requires that surgical processing technicians become certified to work in the field.
