New School Year Begins, Free Paper Shredding This Week

Coming up this week on Patch
The first day of school is finally here.Â
Hasbrouck Heights public schools reopen on Thursday, Sept.5 and Corpus Christi School reopens on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Once again we'll be looking for your Back to School photos so be sure to get them ready to post on Patch laer this week.Â
Patch sat down with new Corpus Christi School principal John Taormina and be sure to look out for a feature on him Monday and Tuesday this week.Â
Reminder that Monday, Sept. 2 is a holiday and borough offices and the library will be closed.Â
Also the borough will host a free paper shredding event this Saturday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Avenue parking lot across from Borough Hall.Â
This free event provides residents and businesses the opportunity to have sensitive documents safely shredded and recycled. Look out for more information this week.Â
