PSE&G To Inspect Gas Meters In Hasbrouck Heights
Someone 18 or older will have to give a technician access to a meter that is inside a home.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ — PSE&G will inspect gas meters in the borough this week.
If a customer's meter is inside a home, someone 18 or older will need to give a technician permission to enter. Outside meters will also be inspected. Customers do not need to be home for outsider meter inspections.
Inspections take about 10 minutes and, unless a meter requires an immediate repair, service will not be interrupted.

Customers should ask technicians for identification if they knock on your door. PSE&G employees carry a company photo identification, wear clothes with a PSE&G logo on it, and drive vehicles with the PSE&G logo on them.
"Customer safety is our number one priority," said Joe Forline, vice president of gas operations for PSE&G. "It's important for us to conduct safety inspections like these so that we can check for surface corrosion, leaks, and other conditions that might require attention or repair."
