Republican, Democrat Each Win Seat On Hasbourck Heights Council
The challengers upset the incumbents in the Board of Education election.
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ — A Republican and a Democrat were elected to the Borough Council Tuesday.
Democratic challenger Steven Reyngoudt and Republican Russell Lipari, the lone incumbent running for re-election, were the top vote-getters.
In the Board of Education race, five candidates ran for three, three-year seats: Alan Baker, Cara Capasso-Murray, Lauren Terranova, Constance Doheny, and Chris DeLorenzo. Capasso-Murray and Doheny are incumbents. Doheny is the board's vice president. Baker, Terranova, and DeLorenzo won.
