Tuesday: Special Election, Farmer's Market in Heights

Polls open Tuesday at 6 a.m. for the special primary election to fill the U.S. Senate seat left vacant with the passing in June of longtime Sen. Frank Lautenberg. Click here to learn about the candidates. 

The borough council meeting which normally is conducted the second Tuesday of the month has been moved to Wednesday, Aug. 14 due to the special election on Tuesday. 

Tuesday brings the return of the Hasbrouck Heights Farmer's Market at the Central Avenue parking lot. It runs from 12 to 6 p.m. 

It's the last meeting of the Speak Out book club at the library for teens entering grades 10 to 12.
