HOBOKEN, NJ — Fields Development has proposed a hotel near the southern entrance to Hoboken from Marin Blvd. in Jersey City, according to a story published in JerseyDigs on Tuesday.
The story says that the company, which has had its headquarters at the city's southern entrance for a number of years, would demolish the 1 Henderson St. headquarters (pictured) and private parking lot. The 1 Henderson St. parcel would be knitted together with 497 Observer Highway and 503-511 Newark St. The resulting hotel "would rise 160 feet above the Designated Flood Elevation (DFE) and be built to LEED Silver standards," the story says.
