In Hoboken: Large Japanese Real Estate Co. Buys Majority Stake At Waterfront III
The Hoboken building includes tenants such as Pearson Education, Newell Brands, NICE Systems, Jet.com and Del Frisco's Grille.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Mitsui Fudosan America Inc. (MFA), the U.S. branch of Japan’s largest real estate companies, recently announced the purchase of a majority ownership interest in Waterfront Corporate Center III at 221 River Street in Hoboken.
According to a company news release, MFA’s ownership is in partnership with Manhattan-based SJP Properties, which developed and manages the 511,637-square-foot, fully leased office property located on the Hoboken waterfront.
The building was fully leased in 14 months to a “diverse set of office and retail tenants,” including Pearson Education, Newell Brands, NICE Systems, Jet.com and Del Frisco’s Grille,” the company stated.

“We are excited to expand our footprint along the Hudson River into New Jersey,” said John Westerfield, CEO of MFA.
“As evidenced by the tremendous success of our leasing program at the property, Waterfront Corporate Center has positioned itself as the pre-eminent business complex in the Hudson waterfront market,” CEO of SJP Properties Steven Pozycki said.
