New Luxury Apartments Open Near Hoboken and Jersey City Border

Two new residential apartment complexes have set up shop in Hoboken's backyard.

Jersey City, NJ – Two new residential apartment complexes have opened in Hoboken’s backyard.

On Feb. 9, the Manhattan Building Company announced the launch of its second Cast Iron Lofts rental building in Jersey City.

The 27-story “industrial-inspired building” will feature 232 loft-style residences, including a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences with a full suite of indoor and outdoor amenities and 20,000 square-feet of street-level retail space, according to a news release.

Located at 300 Coles Street between 17th and 18th Streets, the new residential offering is the second property to open within the Cast Iron Lofts collection, which is spearheading the creation of SoHo West (South of Hoboken, West of New York City), a “vibrant new neighborhood of oversized residences in highly-amenitized buildings on the border of Jersey City and Hoboken,” the release stated.

Onsite amenities include a 17,000 square-foot rooftop deck with a heated pool, pool-side shower, gas BBQ grills, outdoor fire pit lounge areas, a separate Bark Park for pets, landscaping with a shaded tree grove and sitting area, a fitness center with training stations, yoga studio and fitness on demand system, business center, private conference room, children’s playroom, resident lounge with bar, fireplace, billiard table and large screen TV, a lobby library lounge and bike storage.

Cast Iron Lofts II features residences ranging from 885 to 1,885 square feet of living space at monthly rents starting from $2,495.

HAMILTON HOUSE

Leasing is also underway at Hamilton House in downtown Jersey City, a new rental building located at 255 Brunswick Street near Hamilton Park.

According to a company news release, the seven-story building was designed by architect Fogarty Finger and has 75 one-, two- and three-bedroom rental residences.

The ground floor will be home to a Kiddie Academy educational daycare center, while additional commercial spaces ideal for office and professional services are located on the first floor, a release stated.

Onsite amenities include a lobby attended by a doorman, state-of-the-art fitness center, Yoga room, a Business Center and a Resident’s Lounge with dining area situated adjacent to a children’s play room, a rooftop terrace with a garden area, lounge seating and grilling stations, Wi-Fi in common areas, a designated bike storage room, cold storage for deliveries, private storage on each floor, a pet-friendly atmosphere and available onsite parking and complimentary shuttle service to the PATH station.

Monthly rents currently range from $2,395 for one-bedroom plans, from $3,150 for two-bedroom homes and from $4,395 for three-bedroom residences.
