Residents 'Sip and Scoop' for National Assisted Living Week

Brandywine Living at Pennington residents, friends and families celebrate Grandparents' Day, kick off National Assisted Living Week

On Sunday September 9, Brandywine Living at Pennington hosted a “Sip and Scoop” celebration in honor of Grandparents Day and to kick off National Assisted Living Week. The event featured a wine tasting by Hopewell Valley Vineyards, an ice cream social and a classic car show with Brandywine residents, families and friends.

National Assisted Living Week provides an opportunity for residents, their loved ones, staff, volunteers and the community to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s older community and individuals with disabilities. The theme for this year’s National Assisted Living Week is “Capture the Moment,” which aims to inspire people to realize their dreams and seize the day.

At Brandywine Living, the premier provider of quality care and services to seniors, National Assisted Living Week is celebrated with a series of events ranging from a vow renewal ceremony complete with a bachelor/bachelorette party, to a Lip Sync Battle to support a local veterans’ organization.
