Burglaries Under Investigation in Jefferson

Glass smashed at TJ's Gulf, jewelry stolen from local home.

Jefferson Township Police are investigating several reported burglaries throughout the township.

The first, on July 1, involved a resident of Stonehenge Road reporting a person or people attempting to enter her home around 1 p.m. by breaking a glass door pane, according to Jefferson Township Police Capt. Eric Wilsusen. 

On July 9, Wilsusen said police received a report from a Highpoint Court resident about a person entering the home from the garage. The resident said the person had attempted to take jewelry and an Apple iPad, but that the items were recovered.

Also on July 9, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. the day prior, the glass door of TJ's Gulf on Berkshire Valley Road was smashed, with $100 cash taken, Wilsusen said.

On July 12, a Castle Rock Road resident told police that someone had gone into her unlocked home and stolen two laptop computers and two Xbox video game systems.
