Drunk Crash, Drug Arrest: Jefferson Police Blotter

JEFFERSON, NJ — Jefferson Township Police made multiple arrests between March 28 and April 17, including for a drunk crash and drug possession. Read about those arrests, as written by police, in the local police blotter:

3/28/19: Mark Knouse, 46, of Lafayette was stopped for careless driving for almost striking a guard rail. Further investigation found Mr. Knouse under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Knouse was arrested and processed at Jefferson Township Police Headquarters. He was issued several MV summonses and he was released to a family member pending a future court date.

4/1/2019: Ruslan Johnson, 22, of Wharton was arrested on a MV stop for possession of marijuana in his vehicle. He was processed and issued summons pending a future court date.

4/6/19: Corey Tracy, 24, of Newton was arrested for DWI, CDS and paraphernalia after dispatch received a 911 call of a male driving erratically on Route 15 South and consuming alcohol while operating his vehicle. Officer Saparito located the vehicle on lower BVR and initiated a traffic stop on Minnisink Road. Investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated and was placed under arrest. He was issued a summons for possession of CDS and DWI pending a court date.

4/14/2019: Dennis DeRocher, 54, of Garfield was arrested for DWI after a call from the Sparta PD in regards to a struck guard rail. Sparta PD assisted Officer Fuehring on scene. Investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated and was placed under arrest. He was issued a summons for DWI pending a court date.

04/16/2019: Sean Mccloskey, 24, of Ogdensburg was observed by Officer Coyle traveling North in the Southbound lanes of Route 15. PO Coyle and PO Ondish traveled North into Sparta and was able to successfully intercept him at the 11mm in Sparta and successfully stop him. Investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated and was placed under arrest. He was issued a summons for DWI pending a court date.

4/17/2019: Noelle Cobin, 22, of Westwood was stopped for being a suspended driver. While speaking to Ms. Cobin an odor of burnt and raw Marijuana was detected and she admitted to smoking earlier today. Ms. Cobin was arrested processed, charged and released ROR pending court.
