Jefferson Football Defeats Kittatinny, Clinches NJAC Freedom Division Title
The Falcons' drive toward a state title continues Friday when the team takes on River Dell High.

The Jefferson Township High School football team traveled to Newton Saturday and bested Kittatinny Regional High 19-7. With the win, the Falcons took its first ever Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference Freedom Division title.
Several players distinguished themselves to make the win possible, the New Jersey Herald reported. Among them, quarterback J.R. Reese rushed for 135 yards on 15 carries, including a 61-yard run, and completed five of seven passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. Receiver Kyle Neuschat racked up 148 yards on 27 carries, and defensive players Luke Bohn and Jason Valentini each sacked the Cougar quarterback.
The Falcons' drive toward state glory continues Friday when the team, with home field advantage, takes on River Dell High for the semifinal bracket game of the 2013 NJSIAA North 1, Group 3 playoffs. The game kicks off at 7 p.m.
