Jefferson Midterm 2018 Primary Election Results
The results are in for the 2018 primary election.

JEFFERSON, NJ — Following a competitive primary race, the primary election day is for local and federal elections in Jefferson and New Jersey's 11th Congressional District. Here's who you will see on the general election ballot come November.
The primary results for New Jersey's 11th Congressional district are in: Current State Assemblyman Jay Webber will appear on the ballot in the general election as the Republican candidate, and Navy veteran and former federal prosecutor Mikie Sherrill will appear as the Democratic candidate.
Ten candidates vied for their party's nomination in the race for New Jersey's 11th District. This is the first time since 1992 that voters will not see Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen's name on the ballot, and just the second time since the mid-1980s voters will be picking a new Congressional representative.

In addition to a federal representative, voters will select local representatives in the upcoming general election this November. Here's who leads the elections in Jefferson (all results are unofficial, and subject to change as mail-in votes are counted):

Mayor:
- Russ Felter (Republican) 1,048 votes, 42.04%
- Eric Wilsusen (Republican) 1,445 votes, 57.96%
(No Democrats are listed on the primary ballot, and as such, no Democrats will be listed on the general election ballot.)
Township Council (vote for two)
- Patty Fallon (Republican) 887 votes, 19.80%
- Debi Merz (Republican) 937 votes, 20.92%
- Melissa Senatore (Republican) 999 votes, 22.30%
- H. Ronald Smith (Republican) 888 votes, 19.82%
- Robert VanderPloeg, Jr. (Republican) 767 votes, 17.12%
- Douglas Helmstetter (Democrat)
- Daniel S. Malloy (Democrat)
Morris County residents will also get to vote on County Clerk, a five year term, and Freeholders, a three year term, in the general election. Here's who residents will see on their general election ballots (primary winners are in bold):

All results are unofficial, and are subject to change based on mail-in ballots, the Morris County election clerk says.
