Jefferson Teen Recognized With Eagle Scout Award

Craig DeBlock receives proclamation at town council meeting.

A Jefferson teen received a proclamation at Wednesday night's township council meeting for his Eagle Scout Award with Troop 49.

Mayor Russell Felter congratulated Craig DeBlock for his efforts and dedication to the township.

"Craig has shown leadership qualities, which have been demonstrated to his fellow scouts, leaders, and family and he should be commended for setting an example to the youth for our community," Felter read from the proclamation.

Felter said DeBlock restored 46 fire hydrants in the White Rock and Waters Edge communities, which included trimming the grass, scraping the old paint and rust off, replacing hydrant markers, and painting them red.
