Jefferson Voters Approve School Referendum

Voters passed the $9.9 million bond to upgrade Jefferson schools.

JEFFERSON, NJ — Jefferson voters approved a referendum to improve the district's schools during last week's special election.

In total, 2,193 residents cast votes, with 53.7 voting in favor. Some of the renovations will include upgraded science and technology labs, "Makerspaces," new locker rooms, and more.

"This is an exciting time for the Jefferson Township Public School District! I look forward to working with all of you as we move forward with the projects that will make a huge difference to our current and future students," Superintendent Jeanne Howe said in a letter.
