More than $10,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from two township homes in the past month, Jefferson Police said.

An Edison Road home was burglarized Nov. 14 sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and a gold ring worth $500 was stolen, Wilsusen said.

Wilsusen said the home was locked, but there were no signs of forced entry, so it is unclear how entry was gained into the home.

A resident reported on Dec. 1 having about $10,000 worth of jewelry missing from her Mill Street home, Wilsusen said.

Wilsusen said the resident was in the process of moving and only noticed the missing jewelry once she moved out of the township, so it is unclear when the theft occurred.
