Other facts

I am also on the Library Board of Trustees. In both cases I feel that I am part of a dedicated group of volunteers working to make Jefferson a better place for all of the residents. I was on the contract negotiating committee. I think that we reached a fair settlement that cleaned up some issues even though we were constrained by the latest state rules. I was also on the committee that chose the superintendent candidate that was brought forward to the whole Board. I feel that we made the right choice and have the superintendent that will lead the school district to a higher level. I wish that the public at large could see deeper into what goes into being on a school board. I would like to see more people put themselves up for election. This is an extremely important office in the community because it affects everyone.
