Multiple Drunk Driving Crashes In Jefferson: Police Blotter

JEFFERSON, NJ _ Jefferston Township police made several arrests between March 4 and 26, including for multiple drunk driving crashes. Read about recent police activity, as written by police, in the blotter:

03/04/19: Kyle Disalvo, 21, from Hamburg, was arrested for possession of CDS and Paraphernalia during motor vehicle stop on Route 15 North due to the driver throwing a lit cigarette from the vehicle. Mr. Disalvo was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

03/06/19: Dani Cordaro, 38, of Hopatcong was arrested at a scene of a MV Crash for DWI. Ms. Cordaro was traveling on Northwood Road when she drove off the roadway, up a rock, into a telephone pole approximately 15’ in the air and snapped the pole. She was arrested, transported to Jefferson Township Police Headquarters, processed, issued MV Summons and released pending a future court date.

03/08/19: Margaret Vannieuwland, 50, of Sparta, was involved in a one vehicle MV Crash. She drove off the roadway into a stream on Berkshire Valley Road. She fled the scene, but was located at home in Sparta. She was issued several MV Summons and a future court date.

03/09/19: James Guarino, 40, of Hamburg, was arrested at a one vehicle MV Crash for DWI. Mr. Guarino was traveling on BVR when his vehicle left the roadway and into a ditch. He was transported to Morristown Hospital for injuries where he consented to the drawing of his blood. He was issues several MV Summons and pending future court date.

03/10/19: Cynthia Huhn, 19, of Vernon, was traveling on Route 23 south when the vehicle left the roadway into a snow bank then rolling over back onto the roadway. She had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

03/21/19: William Leen, 47, of Pleasantville NY crashed his friends vehicle into a telephone pole on Milton Rd. Mr. Leen ran away from the scene back to his friend’s residence, where he was located. Mr. Leen was issued several summons and JCP&L replaced the telephone pole.

03/26/19: Kimberly Botwinick, 27, of Boonton, and Quincey Brunson, 30, of was arrested for possession of CDS and Paraphernalia during motor vehicle stop on Florida Ave. Ms. Botwinick was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date. Mr. Brunson was issued complaint summons and transported to Morris County Correctional Facility pending a bail hearing.
