There were bouncy houses, basketball hoops, pony rides, free hot dogs and tours of ambulances in Jefferson Township on Tuesday. All were in honor of National Night Out, an annual event designed to bring awareness to protecting neighborhoods from crime. 

The Jefferson Township police department, Office of Emergency Management, Jefferson Township Fire Co. Nos. 1 and 2, Milton First Aid Squad, Jefferson Rescue Squad and the Fire Prevention Bureau and Municipal Alliance for a Drug Free Community also participated in the event.
