Picatinny Arsenal Testing Ballistics This Week
If you hear loud booms, they're coming from Picatinny Arsenal.
ROCKAWAY, NJ — Hear something loud this week? Picatinny Arsenal will be conducting several cannon test blasts between Tuesday and Thursday this week.
Tests will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 10 through 12. Over the three days, 26 blasts will be set off, with the majority of them on April 12.
Picatinny Arsenal is where most of the Army's ballistics are developed and tested. It's not clear how loud or how far away the cannon will be heard.
