Funeral services have been set for the 10-year-old Mt. Arlington boy killed in a freak boating accident earlier this week.

Christopher D’Amico, Jr., out on a pontoon boat with his father and a friend on Wednesday afternoon fell overboard and was subsequently struck by the vessel. His injuries caused him to be airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:35 p.m. June 24.

The tragedy lead to some good, however, as D’Amico’s organs were donated to those in need, including heart valves, bones, and eyes, according to his mother, Laura D’Amico.
