Township Girl Needs Money to Record Album
Cristina Ferucci making CD of original songs.

Most students who have just graduated eighth grade would spend at least part of their summer preparing for high school—completing summer reading, purchasing school supplies and checking out class schedules. In addition to all of that, soon-to-be-freshman Cristina Ferucci has spent her summer recording songs, preparing to release her first album.
The Jefferson Township resident is using kickstarter.com to help fund the $5,000-project. Donors can offer an amount of their choosing, with a different package being attached to each amount. For example, those who donate $2 or more will receive a digital download of one song and a personalized thank-you email, while those who donate $2,000 or more will receive an autographed guitar as part of the collector package. Any donations beyond the $5,000 needed to make the CD will be used to promote it, the web site said.
Ferucci has been part of a songwriting team since 2011 that includes Jefferson Township resident Julianne Buccino and Chris Demaria. The three have written a dozen new songs in less than a year, according to the kickstarter site.
