New Jersey City Smart Apartments Have Wi-Fi And Alexa-Ready Rooms

CityLine West is a Smart building, designed to work with a smartphone. Leases are being taken now and move-ins will start in November.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The luxury CityLine West apartment complex opened Monday and will begin accepting leases this month.

Each of the 144 apartment units has built-in Wi-Fi, smart home technology, and is Alexa-ready, PRC Group, the building's owner, said in a press release. Apartments are either studios, one-bedrooms, or two-bedrooms.

The complex at 33 University Place Boulevard also has courtyards, fire pits, areas for grilling, a cafe, cooperative work space, conference rooms, a fitness center, yoga room, dog-washing station, and parking garage.

Leases are being accepted. Occupancy will being Nov. 1.

The building is one part of a $400 million plan called University Place that will see 22 acres of land developed in Jersey City's west end. The development is being done through a series of public-private partnerships.

CityLine West is also a part of a plan that calls for an eight-building area that will feature more than 1,000 residential units.
