​Barnegat Branch Trail Reopens In Lacey

The trail entrance at William Hebrew Park reopened Monday after trestle repairs were completed.

LACEY, NJ — The Barnegat Branch Trail entrance at William Hebrew Park in Lacey reopened Monday after trestle repairs were completed.

The trail entrance was closed since Tuesday to clear space for construction and give large equipment access to the trestle.

The Ocean County Bridge Department replaced the bulkhead on the north side of the trestle with a retaining wall to stabilize the bank and prevent erosion.

The 150-foot long trestle was constructed in November 2019 and connects Berkeley and Lacey over Cedar Creek.
