Beautiful Stella Needs A Forever Home
Stella is waiting to meet you at the Popcorn Park Animal Shelter

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Stella - a longtime resident of the Popcorn Park Animal Shelter - has been waiting for a new start for too long.
The beautiful black Labrador Retriever is only 4.5 years old. She first came to Popcorn Park as an 8-month-old puppy. She was adopted for some time, but was returned because she barked whenever someone came to the front door, according to a post on the Associated Humane Societies Popcorn Park Facebook page.
"She will need a home where she will be kept safely away from the door when the doorbell rings and things will be just fine," the post states. "She is so happy, outgoing and well-behaved and housebroken too. Stella has had lots of training and is well-mannered."

Stella needs a home without cats, but gets along with dogs her size.
Tiffany, the shelter's kennel Supervisor, always makes sure to say goodnight to Stella before she leaves.

"Of course I pet her and talk to her and always tell her that her day will come soon, and she'll be back in a home," the post states. "Walking away is hard, not taking her with me is worse, knowing there's millions of "Stella's" is absolutely gut-wrenching. Just waiting and wanting a person to love."
Stella's' file number is #27137 3/27/17.
Tiffany urges visitors not to judge Stella or any other shelter animal just based on how they look in their runs. Dogs and cats are often stressed from living in a shelter environment.
"Take a chance and ask to get them to a quieter area, let them be stress free for a moment and then see the real personality,"she wrote.
