Edward Gregory, Retired New York City Police Officer, Has Died

Services for the Lanoka Harbor resident will be held on Saturday

Edward Gregory of Lanoka Harbor, fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

Ed was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 48 years, Alice Gregory. Born in New York City, Edward was an 'All Star' high school football player. He was a graduate of the New York Maritime Academy and a former member of the Coast Guard.

Following his military service, Edward attended the New York Institute of Technology and became a police officer in New York City. For his final years as part of the NYPD, Edward Gregory was captain of the precinct in Riverdale, NY.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his sons Patrick (wife: Melinda) and Michael, and his grandchildren Christopher, Kelly, and Ryan.

Church services for Edward will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at The Church of St. Pius X, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ 08731. His cremains will be interred and a military service held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 16 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
