Forked River Director's Film Makes Garden State Film Festival

"Masters," driected by Forked River resident Mark Ward, will screen March 30.

A Forked River man's short film is hitting the big screen. "Masters," directed by local resident Mark Ward, will show at the 2019 Garden State Film Festival.

The film will screen at noon on Saturday, March 30 in the Paramount Theatre (1200 Ocean Drive, Asbury Park). The festival runs from March 27 to March 31.

"Masters" is about the following: "A frazzled young woman prepares to take the hardest test in the world. Thankfully the only thing on the line is everything." Ward is the founder, writer, producer and director for Garden State Productions, according to his LinkedIn profile.

"Masters" will also screen in Portland, Miami, Illinois and Mississippi, according to the Garden State Productions Facebook page.

The festival charges $15 for individual screenings in advanced purchases and $17 at the door. Weekend passes cost $50 in advance and $55 at the door. Saturday Day passes cost $30, and Sunday Day Passes cost $25. Tickets are available online and at festival box offices for each venue.
