Forked River Service Area Reopens On Garden State Parkway
Burger King returns, but Starbucks did not. Here's what the new plaza has to offer.

LACEY, NJ — Following months of closure and renovations, the Forked River Service Area has reopened on the Garden State Parkway.
The main building with a Burger King and ZMarket on Monday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. The gas station, convenience store and electric vehicle charging stations opened May 21.
The NJTA closed the Forked River Service Area in September for renovations. The Forked River plaza was one of 16 rest stops on the Garden State Parkway set for a rebuild or remodel.

The previous plaza had a Starbucks, Burger King, Hershey's Ice Cream and David's Cookies, Sbarro, and Auntie Anne's, as far as eateries. It's not immediately clear whether any more additions are coming to the new rest stop.
