LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Things looked a little grim for Bonnie and Clyde, 18-year-old Pomeranian siblings when their owner died and no one could take them.
So the pair came to Popcorn Park's animal shelter. Little Clyde was blind and diabetic. The shelter was prepared to take care of them for as long as they lived, according to the shelter's Facebook page.
Shelter workers kept them in a little room off the office, away from the din of the regular dog kennels. They would come right to visitors and sniff them through the gate. A dedicated shelter employee took the pups to her own home at night to care for them, them bring them back the next day.

A family came along and fell in love with the little dogs, despite their age and Clyde's health problems.
"They couldn't have asked for a better home and we're just thrilled for them," the post states. "Thank you to this good family for opening their hearts and home to these beautiful, special needs seniors. Congratulations Bonnie, Clyde, and family, and we wish you much happiness together!"
