Heat Advisory Issued In Lacey For Wednesday

The heat advisory runs until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

LACEY, NJ — A heat advisory will take effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Lacey, the National Weather Service announced. The heat advisory includes several areas of New Jersey, including parts of Ocean County.

During a heat advisory, the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible, the NWS says. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check relatives and neighbors, the organization advises.

When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing when possible.
