Cases
The Ocean County Health Department has reported 459 coronavirus cases and 10 deaths in Lacey as of Monday afternoon. That's an increase of 74 cases and no new deaths since Lacey Patch's last update Sept. 22.

The OCHD reported 91 new cases in the county Wednesday, bringing the area to 17,170 cases and 1,007 deaths since the pandemic began. See more data here.

- The Lacey Township School District has much to consider before entering the second phase of reopening for in-person learning, according to Superintendent Dr. Vanessa Clark. MORE.
- Lacey did provide an update Friday on reopening. Special-education students from kindergarten through sixth grade in the LLD program will return to in-person schooling five days per week starting next Monday.
- Pet Valu, which has a Lacey shop, will close all of its United States stores. The company cited financial difficulties associated with the coronavirus pandemic. MORE.
- The Motor Vehicle Commission center in Manahawkin reopened Monday. The facility closed for about two weeks after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus. All MVCs were closed for Election Day, but Manahawkin's reopened Wednesday on its new appointment-only basis.
