LACEY, NJ — Lacey Township High School reported that a person tested positive for the coronavirus. Officials have already reached out to families of children who may have had close contact with the person, the school district announced Tuesday.

All exposed areas have been disinfected and cleaned, and frequently touched surfaces get cleaned daily, according to officials.

State officials have confirmed two coronavirus outbreaks linked to Ocean County schools this fall. But publicly available state data doesn't clarify in which schools they occurred. An individual case would not indicate a school outbreak.
